Editing page content is the most common task when managing a site.
This software works similar to Microsoft Word and other text processors.
There are three tabs above the editor: Visual, Text, and Page Builder. You will likely use Visual.
- Visual – A rich-text editor like Microsoft Word which allows you to edit and style content for each page or post. It offers an easy-to-use interface and an abundance of tools.
- Text – Commonly used to write and edit code, this editor will display plain-text version of page content. Not recommended for the average user.
- Page Builder – A more complex tool for editing pages. Useful for creating advanced layouts and special styling.
Here are a few helpful tricks:
Single- and Double-spacing: By default, pressing “Enter” will create a double-space between lines. For single-spaces, press and hold “Shift” while pressing “Enter”. This will create a line break.
Pasting without Formatting: If you paste from another application like Word, it may appear jumbled in the editor. To paste text only, go to Edit > Paste as Text. This will paste a clean, unformatted version of the text.
